Last Week's Floors Are This Week's Ceilings
Friday's board: 34 UW taps, 23 MedianReclaim tags, and last week's Nasdaq floors now overhead. Fed blackout, Netflix, Tesla and Meta. Weekly expected moves.
Week Ahead | October 19–23, 2026
The trade that will look cheapest Monday is the one that cost the most last week: buying Nasdaq futures on the first bounce into a level that already broke. Friday's board left those levels overhead. In Friday's session, PonoTrading's imbalance board sent 34 UW taps to Discord: 28 hourly, 5 Daily and 1 Weekly. MedianReclaim added 23 Daily/Weekly median tags, 20 Daily and 3 Weekly. On the index board, six of Friday's taps were buy levels, and ES, NQ and YM settled under five of them. All four sell levels finished over price. And all nine Daily medians that MedianReclaim tagged Friday on ES, NQ and RTY sit above where those contracts settled.
Now the clock. The Fed went quiet Saturday. Its pre-meeting blackout runs through Oct. 29, so no Fed speakers before the Oct. 27–28 meeting. That hands the week to earnings. Netflix reports Tuesday after the close. Tesla and Meta report Wednesday after the close. The U.S. data calendar is light: housing starts Tuesday, jobless claims Thursday, flash PMIs Friday. And the options market is pricing a bigger week than the one we just had. VIX closed Friday at 19.99, up from 14.84 a week earlier, so the weekly expected move on ES is ±213.28 points, against ±161.53 last week.

For the whole week, Sunday night to Friday's close, the board sent 180 UW taps and 143 median tags, the same counts as Saturday's Weekend Review. We
