Morning Prep framed Monday’s red cash, gold soft under the map, and a Tuesday card with JOLTS at 10:00 ET plus Barr/Waller — while Wednesday Core PCE and Friday NFP still bookend the week, and Soft Claims stays Thursday wire only. Cash voted slight red. The S&P closed 7,670.84 (−0.2%). The Dow closed 51,349.92 (−0.3%). The Nasdaq finished 26,797.54 (−0.1%). The Russell finished 2,807.92 (−0.4%). Soft JOLTS printed — August job openings 7.079 million vs 7.23 million expected. AP put the 10-year at 5.25% — highest in 24 years. Spotter’s first-hour 10Y h1 printed bearish 5.235 after overnight 5.226. Oil cooled on the wire — Brent settled $96.16 (−1.7%) — while Spotter cash CL h1 printed bullish 90.07. Gold armed a late cash bearish 4194.5 against resting Daily 4163.8 / Weekly 4180.2. Path still inherits 3.75%–4.00%.
Monday’s cash open-to-close was red under a Hormuz spike tape and a louder 10-year. Tuesday’s cash was slight red under soft JOLTS, a busier long end, and cooled oil. Keep those as two sentences. Soft openings do not authorize inventing chase size off Monday’s red — and a slight-red Tuesday does not rewrite sealed path.
RTH Market Prep was the day clock, not a forecast. Tuesday’s job was to mark what JOLTS and the rates tape actually printed, write size against what was left on the Spotter board, and keep sealed path separate from speakers. Soft JOLTS printed. Rates stayed busy. Oil cooled. Gold late bear printed. That is the honest split — not one soft-everything rewrite.
Week Ahead for September 28 – October 2 stays HOLD on the desk (Wed Core PCE + Fri NFP bookends) — this note does not invent a live Week Ahead URL. Tuesday’s RTH Market Prep had Cash Went
