Ladder Still Working. Cash Went Red. Gold Soft.
Prep framed overnight oil spike, gold soft under expected-move lows, equities inside the daily expected move into a light Monday. Cash closed red. Spotter oil still working 94.68/92.78 — separate oil from red cash from soft gold.

Morning Prep framed an overnight oil spike on the Hormuz/Iran reject, gold soft under the daily and weekly expected-move lows, equities inside the new Friday-anchored daily expected move, and a light Monday card with Dallas Fed and speakers — while Wednesday Core PCE and Friday NFP still bookend the week. Cash voted red. The S&P closed 7,683.69 (−0.8%). The Dow closed 51,481.51 (−0.7%). The Nasdaq finished 26,820.38 (−0.9%). The Russell finished 2,817.91 (−0.7%). Spotter’s cash CL h1s printed bearish 95.55 then bullish 94.85 — still working the overnight ladder zone at 94.68 / 92.78 into the open. Gold armed a Daily bullish 4163.8 while the overnight Weekly bullish 4180.2 stayed resting. AP put the 10-year at 5.23% — highest since 2007. Path still inherits 3.75%–4.00%.
Friday’s prior close greened the week under cooled crude and a soft final Michigan. Monday’s cash open-to-close was red under a Hormuz spike tape and a louder 10-year. Keep those as two sentences. A weekend oil headline does not authorize inventing chase size off Friday’s green — and a red Monday does not rewrite sealed path.
RTH Market Prep was the day clock, not a forecast. Monday’s job was to mark what Globex already spent on the new Friday-anchored daily field — gold soft under both expected-move lows, equities inside, crude inside daily with quarterly still loud — write size against what was left, and keep sealed path separate from speakers and Dallas Fed. Cash voted red. Oil did not leave the ladder zone. That is the honest split.
Week Ahead for September 28 – October 2 stays HOLD on the desk (Wed Core PCE + Fri NFP bookends) — this note does not invent a live Week Ahead URL. Monday’s RTH Market Prep had Oil Spikes
