Morning Prep framed a Tuesday-anchored daily map with overnight still inside daily 1SD on ES and NQ, the Friday weekly field already through +1SD, Flash PMI as the first live September activity print after the hike, Barr on housing, the 5-year auction, and oil soft below daily and weekly −1SD. Cash answered soft. The S&P closed 7,706.03 (−0.8%). The Dow closed 51,511.59 (−0.7%). The Nasdaq sold hardest off Tuesday’s second record at 26,936.04 (−1.1%). The Russell finished 2,838.66 (−1.8%). The 10-year jumped to 5.11%. Brent November rose 3.9% to $103.08. Path still inherits 3.75%–4.00%.
Tuesday’s prior close was a flat S&P near the hold and a second Nasdaq record with oil still soft. Wednesday’s cash open-to-close was the soft answer under a five-year-high Flash PMI and a bond market that briefly tasted 2007 again. Keep those as two sentences. Soft overnight oil on the Prep map did not survive the cash session.
RTH Market Prep was the day clock, not a forecast. Wednesday’s job was to mark what Globex already spent on the new Tuesday-anchored daily field — and what the week already spent on the Friday weekly field — write size against what was left, and keep sealed path separate from Flash plumbing, a Board housing voice, and auction liquidity color. Cash did not validate a chase day after a spent week band. The hot print and the yield rip were the honest clocks.
This note does not rewrite Week Ahead, September 21–25. Wednesday’s RTH Market Prep had the weekly-through-+1SD geography, Flash opens, and oil soft. Tuesday’s After the Close locked flat S&P / second Nasdaq record / Muse competition fear / oil soft. That handoff flipped on the yield and the oil rebound — not on a re-vote.
