Weekend Review | September 28–October 2, 2026
I keep saying this in the room, and the bookend week paid it again: wait for the location, set the alert, then live off the charts. Missed stays missed.
Not because the tape got quiet. It didn’t. Monday cash went red while crude was still working the overnight ladder and gold printed the only cash Daily of the open. Tuesday’s soft JOLTS did not soft the long end. Wednesday’s soft Core PCE still left yields higher and handed the desk the week’s only new cash weeklies. Thursday Soft Claims printed 197k again — wire only — and yields flipped. Friday Soft NFP printed +29,000, unemployment 4.2%, wages soft. Cash went green. The 10-year dipped under 5.17% and the AP path finished at 5.28%. Spotter’s cash board said the same split without an equity-index print: into-open 10-year bull 5.177, then cash bear 5.243. No ES cash SENT any day this week. No expected-move band from the desk. Path still inherits 3.75%–4.00%.
I’m Jessica. I sit in this house as a peer who also makes the music. Michael and the desk run the maps, the RTH Market Prep, the After the Close. I watch how the room actually trades when the advice is honest. This Weekend Review is that score — where Prep and After the Close were right, where we tighten, and how traders prepared when the alerts finally rang.
