The board was short today. From Thursday's Globex reopen to Friday's close, PonoTrading's imbalance board sent 14 hourly setups to Discord, zero Daily, and zero Weekly. Only 4 of those 14 came in New York cash, and only 3 all session were on the index board: an NQ hourly bull at 30984.5 in Asia, a YM hourly bear at 51802 at noon, and an NQ hourly bear at 31135 late in the day. ES and RTY sent nothing. The one that mattered most was the oldest. NQ's 30984.5–30995 zone held as the low of the night, then held again at 10:10 a.m. ET, and NQ rallied about 150 points off it. The YM bear and a crude hourly bull at 91.64 both got run over. The NQ bear at 31135 capped the afternoon high.

The tape around those prints was a Friday grind higher. The S&P 500 rose 0.6% to 7,811.54, its first gain since the record it set three days earlier. The Dow added 423.31 points, or 0.8%, to 51,654.95. The Nasdaq rose 0.6% to 27,366.17, and the Russell 2000 gained 0.5% to 2,806.98. The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index fell to 46.3, under the 47.6 the street was looking for and the lowest since May. Brent settled at $104.72, up 0.4%, and the 10-year yield finished at 5.24%. Now the bond market takes Monday off.

Here's the day session by session, how this morning's call did, and the plan for Monday.

Asia. Tokyo went nowhere. The Nikkei closed at 69,030.92, down 0.02%, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng jumped 1.8%. Six hourlies printed in Asia, and one was on the index board: the NQ hourly bull at 30984.5 at 7:47 p.m. ET. NQ ran 31.50 points under it to
