Morning Prep framed Soft NFP / Soft Wage / Bookend Printed after Soft Claims already printed soft Thursday (DOL initial 197,000 — wire only) and Soft Core PCE from Wednesday (+0.2% / +3.0%) stayed on the board. Soft NFP printed soft on the BLS wire — +29,000 vs street ~90k, prior two months revised about −60,000, U-3 4.2% on higher participation, AHE +0.1% m/m / 3.0% y/y. Cash voted green. The S&P closed 7,722.72 (+0.7%) and pulled within about 1% of its all-time high. The Dow closed 51,176.96 (+0.5%). The Nasdaq finished 27,190.86 (+1.2%) after Reuters tagged a Composite record early. The Russell finished 2,832.90 (+0.9%). Yields dipped on the soft print — AP had the 10-year briefly below 5.17% from Thursday’s peak near 5.35% — then bounced back to 5.28% as oil pared losses. Spotter’s first-hour board said the same thing another way: into-open 10Y bull 5.177 flipped to cash bear 5.243. Metals and FX printed with the reaction — GC 4184.2 bull, SI 60.95 bull, 6E 1.13 bull — then late HG bear 6.5775. No cash Daily. No cash Weekly. No ES, NQ, YM, or CL cash SENT. Path still inherits 3.75%–4.00%.
Soft NFP is one clock — wire only, never UW SENT. Soft wage is the same wire. Soft Claims Thursday already closed half the labor bookend. A long end that dipped and then took the move back is another clock. Green cash is the equity vote. Keep those as separate sentences. A soft payroll miss does not authorize inventing chase size off what the morning hoped — and it does not invent an equity index SENT Spotter never printed.
RTH Market Prep was the day clock, not a forecast. Friday’s job was to mark what Soft NFP
