Path Inherited. Overnight Through +1SD. Cash Has to Vote.

First cash week after the Sep 16 hike. New Friday-anchored map — overnight already through daily +1SD on ES and NQ. Quiet Monday clocks. Speakers and PMI still ahead. Cash has to vote.

Monday, September 21, 2026

First full cash week after the September 16 hike opens with the path already sealed — and overnight already working the upper half of the new Friday-anchored daily field. The Board raised the funds range a quarter point to 3.75%–4.00%, 12–0, with a fresh SEP. Soft cash followed the statement. Thursday accepted the overnight repair. Friday finished mixed — and the Nasdaq map from the desk still worked from the week low toward the top of the range. This Monday does not re-vote. It digests.

Into this Hawaii window the new daily map — anchored to Friday’s settle — already shows overnight through daily +1SD on ES and NQ, with session highs still inside daily +2SD. Gold sits inside the new daily 1SD field. Crude is soft versus the new weekly 1SD low on the house publisher. Quiet Tier-1 agency clocks on Monday. Speakers and flash PMI still sit Tuesday–Wednesday. Cash has to vote on overnight geography.

RTH Market Prep is the day clock, not a forecast. Monday’s job is not to invent a new macro thesis. It is to mark what Globex already spent on the new Friday-anchored map, write size against what is left, and keep the sealed path separate from cash acceptance of overnight geography. Weekend Review left the operating rule on the desk: wait for the location, set the alert, live off the charts. Missed fills stay missed.

This note does not rewrite Week Ahead, September 21–25. Friday’s After the Close framed the NQ extreme-to-extreme week map. The handoff still holds — with a new daily field for Monday, and a quieter official card than midweek.

What overnight already spent

Overnight is working through daily +1SD on ES and NQ on the new Friday-anchored field. House daily map is anchored to the September 18 closes from the publisher. ES anchor 7,657.35; daily 1SD 7,554.54 – 7,760.16 (±102.81); daily 2SD high 7,862.98. Into this Hawaii window last near 7,762.75 with a high near 7,771.25 — through daily +1SD, still inside daily +2SD. NQ anchor 29,613.68; daily 1SD 29,095.79 – 30,131.57 (±517.89); daily 2SD high 30,649.46; last near 30,223 with a high near 30,275 — same through-+1SD pattern with the session high still inside +2SD. YM last near 52,506 through daily +1SD on the new map. RTY last near 2,905 inside/near the upper edge of daily 1SD. That is spent geography on the easy upside of Friday’s settle field after a printed hike — not a free invitation to invent a second chase after the tag.

Gold is inside the new daily field; crude is soft versus the new weekly 1SD low. GC last near 4,400 inside daily 1SD 4,331.39 – 4,518.41. CL daily map is anchored to Friday’s 100.30 settle. Daily 1SD 95.72 – 104.88. Last near 92.75 with a low near 92.62 — below the new weekly −1SD on the publisher alert board, with quarterly stretch still loud. A daily/weekly cool is not a higher-timeframe reset.

Friday’s mixed cash session is the prior close that reset this field. Thursday closed green and accepted the overnight repair. Friday finished mixed with an NQ map that still worked from the week low. Those stay separate sentences. Overnight Globex bid on the new map does not rewrite Friday’s cash answer, and it does not reopen the vote.

What Monday has to prove

Does Friday’s settle hold as the location that matters when the book is full again, or does cash reject overnight’s through-+1SD spend on a quiet data day. Week Ahead already framed Monday as digest — speakers Tuesday, flash PMI Wednesday. Overnight already used through +1SD of the new map on ES/NQ. What is left is whether cash accepts that overnight geography through the open — with size written against the leftover field — and whether the sealed SEP path is treated as inheritance, not as a fresh decision to invent.

One sequence. Quiet Monday clocks. Jefferson Tuesday. Flash PMI Wednesday. Do not spend the week’s risk budget on Monday morning leftovers after overnight already used through +1SD.

Keep the week split honest. The hike printed Wednesday. Soft cash followed. Thursday accepted the repair. Friday finished mixed. Overnight Globex does not collapse those into one sentence — and the printed hike does not rewrite either cash answer.

What not to mix

Overnight tag ≠ cash accept. An NQ or ES through-+1SD print on Globex is map. Cash still has to vote at 9:30 ET.

Quiet Monday ≠ empty week. Speakers and flash PMI still sit midweek. Do not invent a Tier-1 thesis off an auction window.

Statement already printed ≠ path to re-trade as decision. Funds range 3.75%–4.00%, 12–0. SEP medians are the path. Overnight through-+1SD does not reopen the ballot.

Oil weekly break ≠ higher-timeframe reset. Weekly field can break −1SD while quarterly stretch stays loud. Respect both maps.

Through +1SD on the new map ≠ free chase. Friday’s settle reset the field. Overnight already spent the easy upside of the new 1SD band. Write invalidation against what remains.

Next three steps

  1. Mark the overnight through-+1SD spend (ES/NQ) on the Friday-anchored map before you trade the cash open. YM through +1SD, RTY near the upper 1SD edge, gold inside 1SD, and CL soft versus weekly −1SD are separate sentences.
  2. Treat Monday as location work, not a macro rewrite. Jefferson Tuesday and flash PMI Wednesday are the first live midweek clocks — keep them on the card, do not invent Monday Tier-1 prints.
  3. Treat the hike and SEP path as sealed inheritance. Size and invalidation against what is left of the daily field. Missed = no chase. Week Ahead Sep 21–25 opens today — do not rewrite the week.

Steal this / leave that

Steal this: Mark the overnight through-+1SD spend (ES/NQ) before you chase higher on the new map. Keep Thursday’s green cash separate from Friday’s mixed finish. Respect the printed hike (25bp to 3.75–4.00%, 12–0) as statement then path already on the tape. Write Tuesday speakers and Wednesday flash PMI as the first live midweek clocks. Write invalidation against what remains of the daily field.

Leave that: Chasing Nasdaq higher after the through-+1SD tag as if the field were fresh. Treating overnight Globex as cash acceptance of Friday’s settle. Inventing a Tier-1 Monday thesis off Treasury auctions. Averaging SEP path risk into a pre-acceptance size after overnight already used the upper half of the new 1SD band. Rewriting the Week Ahead spine on day one.

Monday inherits the vote. Overnight already used through +1SD on the new map. Quiet clocks. Speakers next. Respect what Globex already spent — or stay flat.
