NQ ran Monday's high twice overnight and handed it back both times. The first run came at 8:03 p.m. ET, two hours after the reopen. The second ran to 29,613 at 6:47 a.m., 41 points over 29,572. ES joined it at the same minute, 3.75 points over its own Monday high at 7,739.50, and slipped back under. Monday's high was a ceiling. Overnight, NQ knocked on it again. So does the open treat it as a ceiling or a floor?
Our alert board was busy right at the turn. NQ's hourly bear UW level at 29531 was tapped at 6:44 a.m. ET, three minutes before that 29,613 high. MedianReclaim tagged NQ's prior Daily median at 29298.125 at 3:07 a.m., a minute before NQ's overnight low. It tagged NQ's Daily median at 29438.75 at 5:00 a.m. and ES's Daily median at 7720.125 at 6:47 a.m. That's the board marking both edges of NQ's night.
Here's the count. From the Monday 6 p.m. ET reopen to the run, the UW board sent 18 prints: 17 hourlies, 1 Daily, 0 Weekly. Three of them were on the index futures: one on NQ and two on RTY. None were on ES. MedianReclaim sent 6 Daily median tags and 0 Weekly median tags, no repeats. Three were on the index futures: two on NQ and one on ES. Every count is a Discord alert from imbalance-alert-router.
That's six index-futures alerts in about 13 hours, and all six came in the London session. ES was at 7,732.25 on two feeds at 7:41 a.m. ET, 7.25 points under Monday's high.
