Our board put two buy levels under the Nasdaq overnight, and the Nasdaq went through both. NQ printed an hourly bull at 30673.75, dropped 69 points through it, bounced, printed another hourly bull at 30725.25 before 7 a.m. ET, and it's trading under that one too. The Dow did the opposite. It ran an hourly sell level, pulled back into its Weekly median, and buyers were waiting. All night the imbalance board sent 20 prints: 18 hourlies, 1 Daily, 1 Weekly, and MedianReclaim added 13 Daily median tags and 3 Weekly median tags. Every count is a Discord alert from imbalance-alert-router.
That's the morning in one line. Chips are getting sold and the Dow is getting bought. NQ is down 0.68% from Monday's close. YM is up 0.76%. When the index board splits like that, the weak side tells you more than the strong side.
The chip selling started in Asia. Asian chip stocks sold off overnight, and memory and chip names like Micron, AMD and Intel are under pressure premarket. On the other side, the Dow is holding up while the chip names get sold.
Cash Treasuries reopen today after Columbus Day. The big banks are reporting this morning. JPMorgan is already out, and CPI is tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. ET. That's a lot of news for a split tape.
Here's what the board printed, session by session, and what we're doing about it.
